AICA Global Meeting in Singapore

ARTHOS Managing Partner participated in the global M&A conference
The annual AICA global meeting took place from 16 – 18 May 2019 in Singapore with the overall theme “cooperation and collaboration”. The AICA member AFG Venture Group hosted the meeting in Singapore, a city state that is one of the great commercial hubs in Asia. More than 35 M&A deal makers from above 20 different AICA member firms attended the meeting.

Since the last global meeting in Miami, USA, it was a busy year for AICA. AICA is constantly evolving for the benefit of the member’s clients. Within the last 12 months AICA on-boarded two new members, Asia Business Builders in Vietnam and Hoffmann & Partner in Switzerland, bringing the total membership to 41 firms representing 39 countries around the world. AICA is today one of the most successful global M&A alliances worldwide.

As in the past and according to the overall theme “cooperation and collaboration” plenty of time was allocated for one-to-one member interaction and group discussions as well for current and future M&A transactions. Also, best practices were shared and new insights into M&A trends in Asia have been presented. One of the highlights of the conference was the launch and presentation of the AICA Global Awards for outstanding, successful collaboration. ARTHOS was elected to be in the top three of all award categories: AICA Deal of the Year 2018, Most Invaluable Firm of 2018 at AICA & Most Valuable Player In 2018 with AICA. Besides the conference sessions during the day, there were excellent networking opportunities during gala dinners and while discovering Singapore with the colleagues at night, a city on the pulse of the time.

ARTHOS is a committed partner of the Alliance of International Corporate Advisors (AICA) and that’s why ARTHOS partners participate in all AICA meetings. From 2014 to 2018, Arne Tödt has been a member of AICA’s board of directors, which he has led as chairman from May 2016 to May 2018.
