CELTIC Connections – AICA Global Meeting in Dublin, Ireland

ARTHOS Managing Partner Arne Tödt participated in the global M&A conference
From 4. – 6. May 2023 the 12th AICA global network took place – the highlight of the AICA year. The Irish AICA member CAPNUA Corporate Finance hosted the meeting, attended by more than 80 M&A professionals from about 20 countries worldwide.

The AICA members continue to grow and be successful – even in an evolving deal environment. In 2022, AICA members collectively closed over 300 deals totalling $9.5 billion in value and AICA is well on its way to achieving the vision of being the first-choice network of independent M&A boutiques.

An excellent program has been put together around the ‘Celtic Connections’ theme with many opportunities for one-to-one meetings, learning and sharing ideas. AICA members, as well as guest speakers, shared insights on the current M&A market and best practices – presenting challenges and benefits. Also, the new member firm Chinook Capital Advisors (US) was warmly welcomed at the conference. Getting together in person provides a unique opportunity to leverage deal experience, industry expertise and most importantly, deepen members’ relationships. Even aside from conference sessions, there were excellent networking opportunities during the gala dinner in the stunning roof-top restaurant of the Guinness Storehouse and while discovering the Celtic-rooted Dublin with the colleagues.

ARTHOS is a committed partner of the Alliance of International Corporate Advisors (AICA), and that’s why ARTHOS partners participate in all AICA meetings. Arne Tödt was an active member of the AICA Board for four years, which he chaired from 2016 to 2018. Arno Pätzold is involved in the membership task force, which is responsible for the acquisition of new members.

AICA comprises over 40 owner-managed M&A advisory firms globally at more than 50 locations. As part of this exclusive global alliance, ARTHOS is able to offer its clients M&A advisory services worldwide by involving international experienced, knowledgeable local partners.

The next AICA meeting will be the AICA EMEA regional Meeting in November 2023, to be held in London, UK.
