ARTHOS Managing Partners participated in the 14th AICA EMEA Conference
From 2 – 4 November 2023 the AICA alliance members from Europe, Middle East and Africa met in the United Kingdom – the London-based AICA member FRP Corporate Finance hosted the event, more than 50 professionals from 16 member firms attended including several AICA members from South and North Americas.
London was calling the second time – since the first London AICA EMEA meeting in 2014, a lot has happened, for example the UK’s exit from the EU, a global pandemic and a war on European territory. AICA is a strong and relevant alliance for its members in these turbulent times, as seen by the increase in joint projects between AICA firms. To further strengthen the relationships between AICA colleagues, plenty of time was set aside at the conference for face-to-face communication, particularly through scheduled team-on-team meetings and networking sessions. During these opportunities, AICA members shared experiences, best practices and new service offerings to create more deal opportunities together.
Another major conference focus were presentations and sessions on private equity, as there is a very large and successful private equity community in the UK. In various sessions, guest speakers provided a better understanding of the sector and introduced AICA members to pan-European private equity firms. The AICA EMEA regional meeting was complemented by excellent networking opportunities during the gala dinner in the stunning The King’s Great Hall in the White Tower of London and while discovering one of the most culturally diverse and historic cities in Europe with colleagues.
ARTHOS is a committed partner of the Alliance of International Corporate Advisors (AICA) and that’s why ARTHOS partners participate in all AICA meetings. The next AICA meeting will be the Global Meeting in May 2024, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
